Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) entitled “Implementation of IoT-Based Smart Farming for Farmer Groups” aims to improve agricultural productivity, efficiency, and crop quality through the application of Internet of Things (IoT)-based digital technology. The main problems faced by the farmer group include manual irrigation systems, lack of real-time monitoring of soil and environmental conditions, and limited use of technology in cultivation decision-making. These conditions result in inefficient water usage, suboptimal plant growth, and relatively high operational costs. The implementation method consisted of partner needs assessment, design and installation of a smart farming system based on sensors (soil moisture, temperature, and air humidity), integration with microcontrollers and web/mobile-based monitoring platforms, as well as training and mentoring for the farmer group. The developed system enables real-time land condition monitoring and automatic irrigation control based on measured parameters.
