Preventing and addressing violence in higher education institutions requires the involvement of the entire academic community to ensure the effective implementation of relevant policies and foster a safe and inclusive campus environment. This study aims to analyze the role of the academic community in implementing policies for the prevention and response to violence within the Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe. The study employs a mixed-methods approach by integrating quantitative and qualitative data. The findings indicate that the role of the academic community in supporting the implementation of the PPKPT policy is generally positive. Among the respondents, 75% strongly agreed and 20% agreed that the academic community plays an important role in preventing and addressing violence. Nevertheless, a gap in PPKPT literacy remains, as evidenced by the finding that 59% of respondents had never participated in PPKPT socialization activities. The data analysis indicates a strong relationship between the role of the academic community and the implementation of the PPKPT policy. Meanwhile, the qualitative findings demonstrate that strengthening policy socialization, improving understanding of reporting mechanisms, clarifying institutional responsibilities, and ensuring the active involvement of all members of the academic community are essential to strengthening the implementation of the PPKPT policy in higher education institutions.
